Dynamic wrinkles form over time due to repetitive facial movements, such as frowning, squinting, and raising the eyebrows. Neurotoxins work by:
Blocking Nerve Signals: The injected neuromodulator temporarily interrupts the communication between nerves and muscles.
Relaxing the Muscles: Without strong contractions, the skin above the muscle remains smooth and relaxed.
Reducing Wrinkles: Over the next few days, fine lines and wrinkles soften, giving a more refreshed and youthful appearance.
-
Procedure Time: Quick and minimally invasive, typically 10-20 minutes
Results: Start to appear within 3-7 days, with full effects in about 14 days
Duration: Typically lasts 3-4 months, depending on the individual and treatment area
Downtime: Minimal to none, with some patients experiencing slight redness or swelling at the injection site
